Exclusive ecological finca in the mountains of Itrabo with infinity pool, 2 guest houses, a ruin and sea views.
Nestled in nature and built on the philosophy of a self-sufficient lifestyle based on organic principles, this wonderful property of approximately 8 hectares includes 19 parcels of land, a 3-bedroom main house, 2 guest houses and a ruin. This exclusive land house was designed in Andalusian style by the award-winning architect Jesús del Valle Cardenete and built according to Scandinavian standards, such as reinforced concrete structures and double walls.
Remote controlled electric gates and an illuminated driveway provide access to the main house. A reception hall, enclosed in a turret, provides the perfect setting to create a 360º view room. This area opens up to the bright, fitted kitchen with an island unit, top brand appliances, and a breakfast bar. Adjacent to the kitchen, there is a large walk-in pantry and a laundry room. The kitchen leads to the dining terrace and garden via a side door. An open-plan living room, with large windows and additional side windows, invites you to admire the superb views to the valley and the coast of Almuñécar. A wood-burning stove enhances the cozy atmosphere of the living room, which has direct access to the outdoor sun deck and pool terrace via elegant French doors. The en-suite main bedroom offers fabulous mountain views and access to the pool terrace. There is a separate luxurious bathroom, a second bedroom and an additional office/bedroom. The floor is insulated and heated by underfloor heating powered by water from the heat pump.
A large patio terrace with fabulous views leads to a decking area which incorporates the hot tub and infinity pool. This main terrace includes an outdoor lounge and kitchen equipped with a pizza oven. Surrounding the house are beautifully landscaped garden areas, featuring both hard and soft landscaping with mature trees and shrubs. On the lower level, there is a basement storage area with a toilet that could be easily converted into a separate studio. There’s an adjacent 1-car garage and ample exterior parking space for several vehicles.
Just below the main house there is a cozy, separate 2-bedroom guest house with its own entrance and fence. Nestled comfortably into the hillside, this log cabin offers incredible views down across the valley to the Mediterranean Sea. The lounge-diner offers fantastic views, while two rooms and a shower room provide comfortable accommodation. The roof is insulated, and the cabin features a wood-burning stove, underfloor heating in the kitchen and bathroom, and air conditioning in the lounge and main bedroom. The house offers stunning views of the valley and the Mediterranean Sea.
Continuing down the hill about 100 meters further, nestled among lush vegetation and avocado trees, you'll find the second guest house. This cozy retreat features an open-plan living area with a dining space and kitchen, a bedroom, and a bathroom. The house boasts floor insulation and a charming fireplace. There is also a covered terrace to soak in the sea views, the tropical orchards, and even the distant village of Otivar. Parking is available on the property. Additionally, there is a ruin on a section of the estate that could be restored and potentially connected to the nearby electrical grid.
The majority of the farmland is arranged in terraces on the hillside, planted mainly with organic Hass avocados, Austin mangoes, and olive trees (approximately 1500 trees in total). Additionally, there are other fruit trees and nut trees, as well as a vegetable garden for own use. The property is irrigated using a computerised system and features warehouses and two water tanks. The finca is certified organic by the CAAE (Andalusian Committee for Organic Agriculture).
This beautiful finca, with its characteristic scent of wild lavender, offers countless possibilities, from establishing a tourist complex, a retreat center, or a holiday destination. It is situated at a sufficient distance from the bustling streets of Almuñécar to enjoy the tranquility, breathtaking views, and beauty of the surrounding landscape. Yet, it remains conveniently close to the beaches, shopping and restaurants of the Costa Tropical, as well as airports, motorways – and even skiing in the Sierra Nevada of Granada!
